Cindy Bates started the day with the song "Come Away With Me" and then talked to us about awakening our spirit - even if we aren't a morning person. She talked about Kathleen Norris's book "Acedia and Me", and suggested 4 things that we can do to awaken our spirit:
- Take sabbath - find time to exhale
- Increase your hospitability - receiving strangers and guests
- Make time for prayer - perhaps when you walk. Hold people in the light - intercessory prayer.
- Practice accountability for your spirit - Find a soul friend or covenant group. Examine your life and spirit daily. How's your spirit? How was your day?
Then we were pampered and relaxed in "rotation sessions" in Yoga, Reflexology, Weight Loss, Clearing the Clutter, and Indulgent cooking. Walk-up booths included:

- Jewelry
- Facials/Make-up
- Foot-cials
- Paraffin wax
- Restful and relaxing candles
- Personal Health Coaching
Jo Heacock spoiled us with a delicious home-made lunch of chicken salad and several freshly baked pies. Of course we had to sample multiple pies!
We left the day relaxed and rejuvenated!
