The new Cafe 180 located at the corner of Floyd and Broadway is modeled after the So All May Eat Cafe on Colfax. The menu offers two soups, two salads and two pizzas at each meal. Customers are asked to pay what they would normally pay to eat out - which should be $5 to $10. If a customer cannot pay, they will be asked to give back in a different way by volunteering to help around the restaurant with tasks like washing windows.
Cathy Matthews of Englewood is opening this cafe, and Dirk Holmberg will work at part time kitchen manager and cook. The plan is for Dirk to be the restaurant's only paid employee.
The Cafe 180 opened the first of August.
Cathy is asking that anyone interested in supporting the restaurant to please come and eat at the restaurant.
